Ephesian 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Whenever I am at a loss for words when it comes to my prayers, I simply turn to the Word of God. Paul’s prayer in the middle of Ephesians is short but filled with promise, power, adoration, and hope. (Eph3:14-21)
As I ponder the many decisions I have before me today I am so blessed when I remember the simple truth of these two verses. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or even think. Whatever I can think might happen in a situation… God is able to do more abundantly. This week Lori and I have been thinking about all the ways the Lord has answered our prayers for so many things over the last year and how so much exceeds anything we could have ever imagined.
We still have difficulties, challenges with people and situations, and uncertainty about life, but when we sit back and reflect on the love and provision of God we come away in awe every time.
What are you needing to pray for today that God can and will exceed anything you could imagine? I encourage you to take a leap of faith and pray like you simply know that you know that God is good and loves his kids. Pray like Paul… Unto Him who is able!
