Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
In our minds we store up the Word of God for times when we need to be reminded of who God is and how much he cares for us. One of my “go to” verses in times of uncertainty is this verse today from Proverbs.
Trusting in the Lord doesn’t always come easy for me. It requires a measure of faith that I often don’t believe I have. But thankfully, God gives me the faith I need to get to the next step so I don’t become discouraged or give up.
This week we saw many challenges personally, spiritually, and emotionally… but through it all the Lord carried me moment by moment.
I have discovered that the straight path still has bumps, turns, and even a few obstacles. When I stop leaning on what I think I know to be true and solely trust in what the Lord is doing, then I am able to get through the bumps and turns and stay moving forward in whatever He has for me.
Lord, thank you for carrying me through the obstacles that seem to block my way. I know without your strength I would not make it, but in Christ i am able to discover your joy and peace even in the difficulties. Amen
